At every audition, my belief in the tremendous talent in the students of Bexley City Schools is reaffirmed, and the auditions for play were no exception. All students who auditioned should be commended for having the guts to go up on that stage in front of so many people and do such a great job. Casting this show was difficult, and we thought long and hard about every role. While most of the show takes place in New York, songs have been divided equally between the choruses.
Over 110 students auditioned to be part of the cast of this show. While we are blessed to have such a high level of interest and talent, we did have to limit the cast to the amount of students we can safely have in rehearsals and on stage. Bexley Theatre Arts is producing many more shows this year including a fun play this spring for students in grades 4 and 5 called The Tale of Two Jacks, and auditions are in February. You can find more info about shows and auditions on this website.
The rehearsal calendar will be completed shortly and will be emailed to cast members and parents soon along with more production information, including the date/time of the first rehearsal. NOTE: The first rehearsal was originally set for after school on Wednesday, Sept 24 however that has been changed.
Please email rebecca.rhinehart@bexley.us and william.bowman@bexley.us if you have any questions. Thank you again to everyone who auditioned. Bexley is truly a talented place!
